C K Babu's entry strengthens TDP in Chittoor constituency

Chittoor: There is neck to neck fight between A S Manohar (TDP) and A Srinivasulu (YSSRCP) for Chittoor Assembly seat and both belong to same community. Former Congress legislator C K Babu has joined in TDP in the presence of Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu strengthening TDP.

In fact, C K Babu had earlier declared that he would contest as an independent candidate for Chittoor Assembly seat. It was earlier predicted that there will be triangular fight among C K Babu, Manohar and Srinivasulu. But in an unexpected move, C K Babu joined TDP as against the interests of majority of TDP leaders in the district.

TDP supremo Naidu had made several efforts to defeat C K Babu for the last 30 years. Chittoor Mayor and some other TDP leaders have expressed their serious resentment for admitting him into TDP. But Chief Minister Naidu had made it clear that the winning chances of Chittoor TDP candidate would be more with the support of C K Babu. In the road show and in the public meetings of Chief Minister held here a week ago , C K Babu accompanied him.

Speaking to The Hans India here on Sunday, C K Babu stated that Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu alone can get the special category status to the state `` CM has done extraordinary efforts for the welfare of the farmers in the state. He is capable to construct the state capital Amaravati and Polavaram projects.

He is highly committed for the development of the state, "he added. He said that

all his supporters , friends and well wishers would strive for the success of the TDP candidates of Chittoor, Puthalapattu and GD Nellore Assembly seats. It may be added here that C K Babu and A S Manohar have joined hands a couple of days ago and decided to work hard to defeat the YSRCP candidate.
