Call to discharge duties efficiently: P L Haranadh
Visakhapatnam: Vigilance Awareness Week – 2019 concluded at Sambamurthy Auditorium, Visakhapatnam Port here on Saturday. Organised jointly by Visakhapatnam Port Trust (VPT) and Dredging Corporation of India Limited, a line of activities formed as part of the week-long observance.
VPT Chief Vigilance Officer J Pradeep Kumar said integrity plays a key role in decision-making and while discharging duty in an organisation. While S Divakar, CHOD, DCI, laid emphasis on strengthening corruption-free society, VPT Deputy Chairman P L Haranadh highlighted the need to be committed to one's profession.
Principal Commissioner of Customs D K Srinivas, who attended as chief guest, hailed the initiative taken by VPT and DCI. A short film 'Integrity – A way of life' was released on the occasion followed by the presentation of a skit performed by the employees of the VPT.
HPCL concludes its celebrations
Meanwhile, chief manager of Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) Bhanu Prakash urged the trainees at Skill Development Institute to stay away from corrupt practices. Speaking at the valedictory of the Vigilance Awareness Week held here, he urged the trainees to remain honest in whatever path they choose.
Deputy general manager CV Narasimha Das not to get carried away by the quick results of shortcuts and exhorted the youth to lead by example. Prizes were distributed to winners who took part in various contests during the week.
