Campaign service providers come handy to candidates

Ongole: The candidates of all parties and independents are in a hurry to meet the public and convince them to vote for them as the polling day is just two weeks away. When they are required to prepare publicity material like pamphlets, flags, posters and vehicles, the campaign service providers are stepped in and taking the voice of candidate to the last voter.

The election commission gave hardly a month to the candidates in the state. By the time, the parties are announced their winning horses, the days are reduced to just 20. The assembly and parliament candidates from the major parties and established families require not much introduction and they need not worry about image building.

But when the ticket is received by a new person, or an independent is in race, then it is becoming very hard for them to go to every nook and corner and solicit votes in favour of him. Ch Subbaraju, a successful service provider from Hyderabad, who provided all services including the design of pamphlets to screening a documentary film on the candidate on a LCD screen fitted in a vehicle, before he reaches the place to build momentum in the Telangana Assembly elections, said The Hans India that they are helping the candidate to convey his message clearly and personally to the voter by messages and phone calls.

He added that their team is also interacting with the locals to identify their issues and see the candidates make an announcement in favour of them to build a positive image. He said that he observed that when new people wanted to enter politics, they are lacking the information and support to reach the public and disappearing after a defeat.

In order to encourage new blood to politics, service providers like him will be very much helpful in reaching the last voter in the constituency and win support of them. Another service provider P Parasuram from Guntur said that they were offering customised services including online and offline service. Being a live service expert, Parasuram said that they were offering the live feed of the campaign by the candidate to the satellite and cable channels along with the streaming on YouTube, Facebook and on a website so that any voter from the place, gets to know about the candidate and his promises.

But the service providers agree that the campaign services were a bit costly to the candidates from the poor background. Parasuram said that they need to employ about 6 to 8 people for every candidate to prepare schedule, follow the candidate, take photographs, video and update their speeches on social media including facebook, twitter and WhatsApp. He said that when the candidate signs up with their service, they need not spend a rupee on the publicity and the price for the service was in the permissible limit by the election commission.
