Case filed against Chandrababu Naidu over violation of lockdown rules in Nandigama

Former chief minister and TDP national president Chandrababu Naidu has been booked for violating lockdown rules at Nandigama police station. The police registered a case following the complained filed by an advocate. On the occasion of his arrival to Andhra Pradesh, Chandrababu violated lockdown rules at several places. Lawyer Srinivas complained to the police that Chandrababu, who landed in the state with a heavy convoy, caused a mass mobilization in Jaggaiahpey and Kanchikarla in violation of lockdown rules. A case has been registered under Section 188 of IPC against Chandrababu.

Chandrababu, who landed in AP on May 25 with special permission, has been widely criticized for violating lockdown rules with mass rallies and bike rallies. The petition was also filed in high court to take action against Chandrababu Naidu in violation of the lockdown rules. Earlier, the court has asked the petitioners to fike a complain with disaster management over the violation of lockdown rules.

However, Chandrababu Naidu returned to Hyderabad after participating in Mahanadu on May 27 and 28.
