Cashless treatment for TTD staff in pvt hospitals soon
Tirupati: Finally, the TTD agreed for cashless medical treatment for its employees in leading private hospitals in Andhra Pradesh and neighbouring States. The decision of TTD will benefit 8,000 permanent employees and their family members. It was a two-decade old demand of employees.
Tirupati JEO B Lakshmikantham took an initiative and held discussions with corporate hospital managements and TTD employees' unions on several occasions to fulfil the demand of employees. Recently, the JEO finalised the tariff for cashless treatment and made an agreement with the corporate hospital managements located at Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, Vijayawada and Tirupati. It will come into effect from July onwards and the file was forwarded to the EO for approval. Presently, the TTD employees are availing medical treatment at SVIMS and local government hospitals in Tirupati.
But they lack advanced medical facilities. Once the EO gives approval, the TTD staff can avail cashless medical treatment at Narayana Hrudayalaya, Manipal and Columbia Asia in Bengaluru; Apollo and Vijaya Hospitals in Chennai; Care Hospitals in Hyderabad; Ramesh and Andhra Hospitals in Vijayawada); DBR, Sankalpa and Mother Hospitals in Tirupati. For the benefit of TTD employees, we have taken a decision to implement cashless medical treatment in corporate hospitals.
We had finalised the tariff and budget allotment for implementing the scheme to our employees and their family members, said JEO Lakshmikantham. TTD Staff and United Workers Front general secretary G Venkatesam has expressed happiness over the decision of the TTD management. He thanked the TTD EO and Tirupati JEO for their efforts in realising the demand of employees.
