CBI serves notices to Amanchi Krishna Mohan over his comments on judiciary
The CBI has once again issued notices to YSRCP leader and former Chirala MLA Amanchi Krishna Mohan and directed to appear before it on May 22 over his earlier remarks on judiciary. The notice has issued under Section 41 (A) to this effect.
Earlier last year, he on social media that their job was to make decisions against the YSRCP government. Following the complaints, cases were registered on social media against those who had posted posts threatening the judiciary and insulting the judiciary.
Petitions have been filed in the courts alleging that YSRCP leaders have denigrated the judiciary. Doubts were also cast on the conduct of the state police investigation into the affair and hence AP High Court has ordered a CBI inquiry.
The CBI had registered cases against 16 people in this regard in November last year. The CBI has said that the cases registered by the CID in the past have been registered as such. The CBI has announced that it is investigating 12 FIRs registered by the CID under Sections 154, 504 and 505 of the IT Act as a single case.
It was in this context that the CBI issued notices to Amanchi Krishna Mohan on allegations that he had posted inappropriate posts on social media. He also attended the CBI inquiry. But now again the CBI has taken the initiative to issue notices to Amanchi.
