CBI special court seeks details of Dharmana Prasada Rao's case filed in Supreme Court
Hyderabad CBI Special Court Judge BV Madhusudhan Rao has asked the CBI about the investigation of the case filed in the Supreme Court by YCP leader and former minister Dharmana Prasad Rao. The special court judge ordered CBI to provide details before January 7. CBI asserted that Former Revenue Minister Dharmana Prasada Rao has been included in the charge sheet filed for allegedly committing Quid Pro Quo Vanpic case.
A few days ago, the CBI court issued key directions asking CM Jagan Mohan Reddy to appear before the court in person on January 10 in the disproportionate assets case. Interestingly, the CBI court has also sought details of the Dharmana Prasad Rao case while the court had asked the CBI to look into the case three days before the hearing.
Vanpic case is related to Nizampatnam Port and Industrial Corridor, which is planned to be set up in 28000 acres in the center of Guntur-Prakasam districts. Businessman Nimmagadda Prasad came forward to undertake the project. However, the CBI had earlier arrested him for allegedly cheating the state government. The CBI has accused the then Revenue Minister, Dharmana Prasad Rao, of attempting to confiscate state assets to private individuals.
