Centre did not give single rupee extra to AP: Yanamala
Amaravati: Finance Minister and TDP senior leader Yanamala Ramakrishnudu lambasted Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday for his criticism against the TDP. Ramakrishnudu blamed Modi and the Central government for not extending cooperation to the State government for the development of the residuary State of AP, in a press release on Saturday.
He pointed out that the Central government did not give a single rupee extra to State. He added that the State government has been getting the funds from divisible pool of Centre-State taxes only.
He said the NDA government did not give proper share to States. Though, they are claiming that they have been giving 42 per cent, the actual figures reveal that they are releasing only 36 per cent. In addition to that, for all the Central government schemes, the State governments have also been releasing funds, which is another burden on the State, he explained.
The TDP leader blamed the Election Commission of India for not taking action against those who had submitted applications under Form 7, for deletion of names of voters from the existing list. He pointed out that YSRCP president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy openly admitted that he encouraged his partymen to apply through Form 7. He alleged that the BJP has been implementing the same strategy in various States and the same was proved in recent Telangana elections also.
He alleged that the BJP helped TRS in Telangana elections by influencing ECI and helped in the victory of K Chandrashekar Rao. Subsequently, the Election Commission tendered apology to the people after completion of Assembly elections in the TS State for deletion of names of voters from the list. Would the ECI want to repeat the same in AP too?, he questioned.
