Chandrabab Naidu efforts brought Kia Motors to Anantapur: Devineni Uma Maheswara Rao
Vijayawada: Former Minister Devineni Uma Maheswara Rao ridiculed the statement made by Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy that his father's dream was fulfilled with Kia Motors launching its operations in Andhra Pradesh.
Speaking to media persons here on Friday, he said that YS Rajasekhar Reddy's dream was Volkswagen but not Kia motors. He said that YS Jagan mistakenly stated the Kia Motors name as his father's dream at Kia Motors cars launching function.
He recalled that former Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu worked hard for establishing the Kia Motors plant in Anantapur district. He also pointed out that the previous TDP government had provided water to Kia Motors by using the water resources through Pattiseema Project.
He lamented that the leaders of YSR Congress including MP G Madhav were threatening the officials of Kia Motors. Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy did not make any comment on the incident, he regretted.
Uma wondered why the Chief Minister failed to speak anything during his meeting with foreign delegates about farmers who had offered their lands for construction of capital Amaravati.
He alleged that Jagan had cancelled Polavaram contract only with an intention to hand over the hydel power project works to his relatives. He also alleged that he had cancelled Machilipatnam Port works to hand over the port to the TS Chief Minister.
