Amaravati: TDP President N Chandrababu Naidu on Saturday strongly objected to the arrest of former MLA JC Prabhakar Reddy and his son Asmith Reddy.

He termed the arrests as yet another instance of CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy's intolerance and vindictive attitude towards Opposition. Jagan was increasingly impatient and frustrated over the rising public support for the TDP agitations against the ruling party excesses in sand, land, wine, mine, cement, Coronavirus kits and bleaching powder scams.

In a statement here, Chandrababu Naidu asserted that the YSRCP leaders were hell-bent on diverting the attention of the people from the miserable failures of its Government's one year rule. False cases were being filed and arrests were being made to harass and weaken the TDP leaders politically and financially. Yesterday Athcannaidu was arrested and now JC Prabhakar Reddy is arrested. All these are nothing but part of Jagan's vindictive and retrograde politics.

Naidu said Jagan was determined to send all other leaders to jail with false cases just because he returned after spending some time in the jail. But it was a fact that the CM was still on bail and there were serious cases against him. With his vengeful rule, Jagan was hurting and destroying the whole AP state.

The CM can never distance the TDP from the people with his repressive and suppressive actions.

The TDP chief asserted that their party would boldly confront the political oppression and continue its struggle for the sake of all sections of the people.

The anti-people policies of the YSRCP would be exposed and opposed strongly. The people's support would be a great blessing for the TDP leaders. Everybody should condemn the undemocratic and oppressive activities of Jagan. The people's organisations, intellectuals and all sections should condemn the YSRCP misrule and corruption.
