Amaravati: The TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu urged the people to participate in a protest on July 4 against the YSRCP government demanding to develop Amaravati as only capital for the State, in a press conference on Thursday.

At the same time, he maintained that the TDP will not stop fighting against the government for the justice to the farmers, who donated the lands to the government for construction of the capital in Amaravati.

The TDP chief urged the people to participate in the protest at their respective areas following the social distance in view of the COVID19 pandemic. He said that the Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy destroying the development of the state and failed in investing at least single rupee in development projects from the last year. He said that there were no resources for the state and on the other hand the Government failed to create wealth. If Jagan might develop the Amaravati by completing the pending roads and other infrastructure, which was in progress by the time he assumed charge, then the State would have benefitted a lot, observed Chandrababu Naidu.

He explained that the Amaravati Farmers JAC called for the protest on July 4, and the TDP is going to participate in the programme. Chandrababu Naidu will participate in the protest in Amaravati. Meanwhile, he lambasted the government for its failure in preventing the spread of coronavirus in the State.

The YSRCP leaders and State government were responsible for not getting Legislature approval for Appropriation Bills, reacted Chandrababu He said that Jagan tried to introduce a Bill for three capitals in the backdoor, despite knowing that the previous Bills were sent to Select Committee by the AP Legislature Council. As the ministers insisted on the three capitals and AP CRDA repeal bills and stalled the House, the Council chair concluded the Session. This was a failure of the government in identifying priorities. Jagan gave priority to destroy the Amaravati, but not to introduce the Appropriation Bills, he added.
