Amaravati: Anakapalle MLA Gudivada Amarnath flayed opposition leader Chandrababu Naidu and his son Lokesh for defaming the State government's welfare activities through social media platforms and said that they have been confined to social platforms like Twitter and Zoom, rather going near public.

Addressing a press conference on Monday, MLA Amarnath Reddy said that the people have rejected TDP in the elections and the party is now going on a downtrodden lane with poor leadership of Chandrababu Naidu and his son Lokesh. "All these days, they both have confined themselves to social media platforms and forgotten to face the public directly. Though Chandrababu Naidu applied seeking permission for visiting families affected in the gas leak tragedy in Visakhapatnam, he denied visiting, even after the State government gave a nod. Chandrababu Naidu is indeed enjoying his stay in a Rs 300 Crore bungalow in Hyderabad and smearing dirt on State government policies for boosting his political mileage."

He further stated that Chandrababu Naidu has got no value to question or comment on the welfare schemes initiated by Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy. Within one month of forming the government, we completed almost 90 percent of the promises made in the manifesto, and people are quite happy with this good governance. While our government is trying to provide a better livelihood for the weaker sections, Chandrababu Naidu exhorted corruption during his 5-year rule and looted over Rs 7 Lakh Crore.

"Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy is the first person to release a calendar for welfare activities with a fixed dateline for each scheme in order to benefit the public. However, the opposition leaders are misusing the calendar for self-propagating. By using their supported media, TDP members are bluffing people by pushing news related to the welfare initiative before its dateline and showcasing it as a suggestion to the government. At least from now on Chandrababu should start to focus on building his team rather than defaming the State government." he added.
