Chandrababu Naidu demands resignation of AP Home minister over arrest of Atchannaidu

Amaravati: TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu demanded resignation of Andhra Pradesh Home Minister Mekathoti Sucharitha on over TDP MLA Atchannaidu's kidnap. He held chief minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy as responsible for this act of police, on Friday.

TDP termed it as an attack on BCs in the state by ruling party YSRCP. "Just four days ahead of the Assembly budget session, hundreds of police lifted Atchannaidu without giving any arrest warrant or prior notice," Chandrababu Naidu explained. He demanded the DGP to answer for this human rights violation.

Earlier, in the morning former minister and TDP MLA Atchannaidu was arrested over the irregularities in the ESI where the former has resorted to the illegal procuring of medial equipment and surgery machines without calling for the tenders. The vigilance and enforcement directorate has investigated the scam of found large scale irregularities in the department.

Achchennaidu was shifted to Vijayawada ACB office with 100 police personnel deployed as a security. It remains to be seen, how this case would turn in the coming days.
