Chandrababu Naidu describes Jagan rule a curse
Kakindada: Former Chief Minister and TDP national president N Chandrababu Naidu described Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy's 100 days rule "a curse" upon the people of the state as Jagan and his party leaders were terrorising the people with the help of police.
Naidu, who held review meetings with party leaders of various constituencies for the second day on Friday, came down heavily against the misuse of police machinery by the Jagan government against people and political rivals while speaking to reporters in the evening.
"It is the duty of IAS and IPS officers to protect the Constitution and discharge their duties in a fair manner. But now under YSRCP rule, they are acting like politicians at the behest of theruling YSRC leaders.
I have never seen in my 40 years in politics such a cruel rule, even during the rule of factionists," he said. Terming the Jagan's 100 days rule as 'Rakshasa palana' (demonic rule), he accused police of registering false cases against TDP cadres.
Amid reports of some leaders leaving he party in the district, Naidu described such leaders as 'cowards' who forgot the sacrifices of the party cadres. He said despite leaders leaving and coming into the party, the cadres are steadfast in defending the party and facing onslaught of the YSRCP.
