Chandrababu Naidu owes an apology to Dalits: Minister Adimulapu Suresh
Amaravati: N Chandrababu Naidu treated Dalits as vote bank only to boost his political mileage and he still owes an apology to the Dalit community for humiliating them with cheap comments, says Minister for Education, Adimulapu Suresh.
Speaking to media persons on Thursday, Minister Suresh stated that the sole purpose of Chandrababu Naidu is to create hurdles in the path of development across the State and thus causing litigation to all the government welfare schemes. "Our Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has spent over Rs 6,000 Crores in a span one year, for the welfare of Dalit community in order to empower and educate them. But TDP holds a record for insulting, betraying Dalits and diverting SC sub-plan funds for self gains. During his 5-year rule, all he did was managing numbers, self publicizing, and diverting the funds. While Jagan Mohan Reddy prioritised welfare activities despite facing a severe pandemic crisis, Naidu simply visited the State for Mahanadu and now back again lounging in Hyderabad." he added.
Minister Suresh asserted that Chandrababu Naidu has no right to accuse the government and voice of the Dalit community, as he held back the empowerment of Dalits in every step of his life. When a drunk doctor is creating a fuss in the hospital, he tags with caste and politicizes the issue. When a Dalit is appointed as Election Commissioner, he opposes it and files petition in court. He opposes land allocation for Dalits in Amaravati and even makes humiliating statements like 'Who would wish to be born in the SC community?'. "At least now he should come forward and apologize to the Dalits for using them miserably."
He further stated that the State government is very much committed to the welfare of Dalits and not going to care about the remarks from opposition leaders. "If Naidu is really concerned about the State people, then he should step up and provide healthy suggestions to the government, rather than making false statements. People have lost their trust over Naidu and not got to fall for his words. We are ready for any kind of discussion with the opposition leaders with perfect numbers." said Minister Suresh.
