Chandrababu Naidu to embark on a tour of districts
Vijayawada: TDP national president N Chandrababu Naidu will embark on a tour of all the districts. It is aimed at identifying the factors which had led to the party suffering a big defeat in the 2019 Assembly elections.
He will begin his tours to different districts by travelling to East Godavari on a two-day visit on September 5. Naidu decided to visit one district every week. As per the sources, Chandrababu Naidu will stay for two days in every district headquarters.
He will participate in the district-wise party general body meetings. He will conduct review meetings constituency-wise and take part in the meetings with constituency in-charges, coordination committee members and party workers.
The TDP national president has also decided to strengthen the party from grass-root level. As part of it, all the associate party units would be strengthened and special focus would be laid on increasing the support from the traditional supporters of the party, the backward classes.
Naidu has condoled the death of a farmer Siddappa in Anantapur district. He said that the innocent farmer died in stampede incident in a queue line set up for procuring seeds. The TDP chief pointed out that it was the second such incident during the current season. He regretted over the failure of the YSRCP government to supply seeds to farmers.
