Tirupati: Telugu Desam Party president N Chandrababu Naidu is scheduled to visit Chittoor district from November 6 to 8. The three-day visit is aimed at finding solutions to a plethora of problems in all the constituencies. The party has won only one seat out of 14 in the district and the cadres are said to be disheartened and not participating actively in party programmes. The party feels that there is an urgent need to motivate the cadre and ignite fighting spirit among them.

The party district leadership was of the view that the entire cadre has to be recharged and activated from now onwards to gear up for the local body polls expected to be held early in 2020. The party has recently organised protest fasts at all revenue division headquarters on sand woes in the state. Earlier, it has conducted demonstrations protesting against the closure of Anna canteens and other issues.

Party Chief Naidu has been visiting various places to give moral boost to the cadre who were facing attacks and false cases from the ruling party and some of them have even lost their lives. Besides, focussing on such issues, Naidu has to concentrate on a few constituencies like Srikalahasti, Satyavedu and Madanapalle where leadership issues have come to the fore.

Speaking to The Hans India, TDP district president Pulivarthi Nani has said that Naidu will spend more time for party workers and listen to their problems. As there was a feeling among the workers that the party leadership has not given them proper time as he was busy with his official duties when he was in ruling. Secondly, a message will be sent that the party will protect its cadre at all times.

The party has been making arrangements to conduct the meeting with the leaders and workers of all the constituencies near Ithepalli village of Chandragiri constituency on the first day of Naidu's visit. Pulivarthi Nani, former minister N Amaranatha Reddy and other leaders have been camping there to complete arrangements. Thereafter, he is expected to review the party performance of each constituency separately for the remaining two days. On November 8 evening, he will conduct a press meet before leaving the district.
