Chandrababu writes to CM YS Jagan, DGP over Tadipatri incident, demands to restore peace

The former chief minister of Andhra Pradesh and TDP national president Chandrababu Naidu has criticized YSRCP MLA Pedda Reddy's attack on former MLA JC Prabhakar Reddy's house in Tadipatri of Anantapur district as direct evidence of deteriorating peace in the state. He said the incident was an example of the lack of 'rule of law' in the state. Chandrababu wrote a letter to CM Jagan and DGP on the Tadipatri incident and said that he had never witnessed an such act where a ruling party leader going to the opposition leader's house to attack. "In the last 19 months, there have been horrific incidents in the state with attacks and atrocities," Naidu said.

Chandrababu said that whoever came to JCs house and what he did was recorded on CCTV cameras. He said that it was unacceptable for the attackers to move freely and fearlessly. Prabhakar Reddy and his son Asmit Reddy have filed an SC and ST atrocity case. It has been criticized that it is heinous to make false cases against the victims. Chandrababu appealed to the DGP to immediately stop the YSRCP hooliganism, atrocities and uphold the 'Rule of Law' in the state. The police should be held accountable for any danger to anyone in JC's family and Naidu demanded full security for the family members. Naidu also demanded strict action against all the accused, including Pedda Reddy.

Chandrababu further questioned how could the opposition leader is related to the social media postings against the MLAs wife. He was incensed that criminals were indiscriminately committing rhetoric and hooliganism in a state where the rulers were watching like a spectator. He demanded that the state government be awake and appealed to protect the fundamental rights enshrined in the Constitution. Chandrababu also demanded that such incidents should not be repeated.
