Cheetah found relaxing on road near Ahobilam

Kurnool: A cheetah was spotted near Ahobilam on Monday night under Rudravaram forest section of Nallamala range. As the movement of people has been restricted, wild animals start coming out of forest areas. A cheetah was seen relaxing on the road near Durgamma temple.

Some people who were going on vehicles from Allagadda to Ahobilam, have spotted the cheetah on Telugu Ganga Bridge adjacent to Durgamma temple. They switched off the lights and engines. One Prasad out of curiosity had captured its photo in his mobile phone. After relaxing for a while, the wild animal disappeared into dense forest.

This was brought to the notice of forest department officials. The officials said it is common phenomena, the wild animals usually come out of the forest during night times. It may be for hunting or for searching some water bodies, they said.
