Chennai Customs office seizes drugs of worth Rs. 12 lakh, West Godavari man held
According to officials, Customs officials checked the parcels of the cargo plane that arrived at the Chennai airport, which came from the Netherlands to the address of the West Godavari district Bhimavaram.
Officers upon suspicion opened the parcel and found 400 anaesthetic pills of worth Rs 12 lakh. The case has been registered and an investigation has been launched. A young man from Bhimavaram has been found ordering the narcotic pills online.
The officials who went to the address specified on the parcel and took the young man into custody. The accused was later produced in court and taken to the Puzhal jail. It is now once again become the concern after the massive drug racket related to the Tollywood busted in 2017.
