Chirala: Save district from coronavirus says Collector Dr. Pola Bhaskara

Chirala: District collector Dr. Pola Bhaskara urged the women in self-help groups to unite together to increase hygiene and sanitation to control the spreading of Coronavirus in the district.

He conducted a coronavirus awareness programme for the women self-help groups in Mahila Sakthi Building in Chinaganjam on Wednesday. Speaking at the meeting, the Collector said that coronavirus could be controlled by taking precautions as there is no vaccine for it.

He said that the women groups have the responsibility of educating the public on the epidemic and asked them to create awareness among all six lakh women in the self-help groups in the district.

He asked them to follow the instructions by the government and advised the public not to panic over the disease.

He said that the disease was spread in China through the touch and droplets from sneeze and cough and asked the public to keep themselves hygiene.

AJC K Narendra Prasad, DRDA PD J Elisha, Ongole RDO Prabhakar Reddy, and leaders of the self help groups and others also participated in the programme.
