Chittoor: CM agreed to revive defunct Chittoor Sugars, Dairy says MP N Reddappa
Chittoor: Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy has agreed to revive the defunct Chittoor Cooperative Sugar Factory and Chittoor Dairy, stated MP N Reddappa.
Speaking to The Hans India here on Wednesday, Reddappa said that the Chief Minister has also instructed the Collector to submit a comprehensive report in this regard on the issue.
Reddappa said Minister for Panchayatraj Peddi Reddy Ramachandra Reddy and Deputy Chief Minister K Narayanaswamy have also explained the dire need of resuming both sick units in the interest of the farmers.
Reddappa recalled that during his visit to Chittoor, Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy promised to the farmers that both the sick units would be revived at the earliest.
He said the CM has keen interest to develop Chittoor district as role model as in the last elections the YSRCP won all the Assembly and MP seats in the district except Kuppam. He said former Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu failed to develop his own constituency Kuppam despite representing it for the last four decades. The entire Kuppam Assembly constituency was facing acute drinking water shortage since several years, he lashed.
Reddappa said that stage has been set for diverting HNSS water to Kuppam and other western parts of the district. He ridiculed that TDP leaders were resorting to tarnish the image of the YSRCP government for getting mileage. Stating that Jagan has already fulfilled 90 per cent of poll promises, he said there was tremendous response for schemes implemented by the government.
He predicted that YSRCP would sweep the local body polls and added that he would be available in Chittoor on each Monday to receive the grievances from public.
