Chittoor Collector N B Guptha seeks people's cooperation for implementing lockdown

Chittoor: District Collector N B Guptha stated that the government has decided to enforce lockdown in the state effectively to put an end coronavirus and he sought the cooperation of people for strict implementation of lockdown. Instructions were given to the police to take stern action against the violators as directed by the government, he said.

Addressing a press meet held at Collectorate on Monday, he stressed on the need to intensify measures for preventing the spread of coronavirus. Social distancing should strictly be followed by one and all to be freed from the scare of corona. One should know the causalities of the dreaded coronavirus in several developed countries like China, Itali, Spain,and America" he stressed. He further said that isolation wards would be established in each Assembly constituency in the district as per the instructions of Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy.

Speaking on the occasion Chittoor SP Senthil Kumar made it clear that no relaxations or exemptions will be given in implementing lockdown. " Quarantine has made mandatory for all the foreign returnees . Criminal cases would be booked against the violators of quarantine. He reminded that all the shopping malls, theatres , function halls , temples, masjids and churches should be kept closed till March 31.
