Chittoor: Deputy Chief Minister K Narayana Swamy launches Rythu Bharosa
Chittoor: Deputy Chief Minister K Narayana Swamy stated that Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy had introduced a number of schemes for the welfare of farmers.
Narayanaswamy, who holds the portfolios of Excise and Commercial taxes, launched the second phase of YSR Rythu Bharosa scheme here on Friday and said that the scheme has been proved as a boon to farmers.
Addressing the media conference at the Collectorate here on Friday, the Deputy Chief Minister said that the Government has credited Rs 250.8 cr. towards YSR Rythu Bharosa / PM Kisan Yojana scheme benefitting 4,44,996 farmers in the district.
He said that under the YSR Rythu Bharosa / PM Kisan Yojana scheme, it was proposed to deposit Rs.13,500 per each eligible farmer out of which the first instalment Rs.5,500 was credited in the farmers account.
He said the stage has been set to set up Rythu Bharosa Kendrams at all the Assembly constituencies in the district in one or two months. Seeds will be supplied at the doorstep of the farmers through Rythu Bharosa Kedrams, he said.
District Collector N B Gupta explained the steps being taken to protect the interests of the farmers through various schemes. Joint Collector K Markandeyulu, Joint Director for Agriculture Vijayakumar and others were present.
