Chittoor: National level meet to be held in Guntur from Feb 13
Chittoor: Honorary president of AP State Municipal Workers Union, N Subba Rao stated that municipal workers in the state and in other parts of the country are living in pathetic condition.
He said a national level Mahasabha will be organised for three days in Guntur from February 13 to discuss the long pending problems of municipal workers. Delegates from 28 states in the country would participate in the meet, he said.
Participating as chief guest at The general body meeting of State Municipal Workers Union, Chittoor district unit held here on Friday, he said that several demands of municipal workers have been kept pending by the state government. Municipal workers are striving for achieving the objective of Swatchh Bharath and for better sanitation in villages and towns.
He said that the proposed national level Mahasabha of Municipal Workers Union will prepare a draft declaration over the future course of action of the Municipal Workers Unions.
State Municipal Workers Union General Secretary B Tulasendra , District AITUC leaders Nagarajan, Ganapathi, Erumalai and others were present . The delegates of Municipal Workers Union from Tirupati, Madanapalli, Srikalahasti , Punganur, Nagari, Palamaner, and Puttur participated in the meet.
