Chittoor: Observe students behaviour keenly, SP Senthil Kumar tells parents, teachers
Chittoor: Superintendent of Police S Senthil Kumar advised parents and teachers to keenly observe the behaviour of students and to prevent them from becoming drug addicts.
He participated in a programme here on Friday in connection with `International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking.' The police officials are striving to stop the Illegal drug trade, he said.
Speaking on the occasion, he stated that it is the responsibility of the teachers and parents to keep a special watch on the students both in their residences and in educational institutions.
He said that effective steps were mooted to curb the illegal drug trade and serous action will be initiated against the anti-social elements.
He said that the police have decided to conduct counselling for the students to prevent drug addiction. Additional SPs Y Riyanth Reddy ( SEB), Mahesh Kumar ( Admin), DSPs N Sudhakar Reddy, K Eswar Reddy were present. Earlier SP has attended a video conference of State DGP Goutham Sawang in Chittoor.
