Chittoor receives over 100 nominations
Tirupati: As many as 108 nominations including 16 for the two Parliamentary Constituencies (PC) and 14 Assembly Constituencies (ACs) received in Chittoor district on Friday. Rajampet PC received 13 nominations while Chittoor Reserved PC 3 nominations today.
The details of the nominations received for the 14 Assembly Constituencies in the district include Thamballapalle 5, Piler 3, Madanapalle 12, Punganur, GD Nellore and Puthalapattu 5 each, Chandragiri and Tirupati 10 each, Srikalahasthi, Nagari and Palamaner 7 each, Sathyavedu 4 and Chittoor and Kuppam 6 each.
The candidates, who filed their nomination in person or through their representatives to contest for Assembly as TDP candidates include Dommalapati Ramesh (Madanapalle), Nani (Chandragiri), M Suguna (Tirupati), Bojjala Sudhir (Srikalahasti), AS Manohar (Chandragiri). For Parliament, DK Satyaprabha (Rajampet) and N Siva Prasad (Chittoor).
The YSRCP candidates, who filed their nomination today, are RK Roja (Nagari), Chevireddy Bhaskar Reddy (Chandragiri), Bhumana Karunakar Reddy (Tirupati), Peddireddy Ramachandra Reddy (Punganur), Dwarakanatha Reddy (Tamballapalle), Chinthala Ramachanadra Reddy (Piler), B Madhusudhan Reddy (Srikalahasti) and for Parliament PV Mithun Reddy (Rajampeta) and N Reddappa (Chittoor). Congress Party nominees C Rangappa for Chittoor PC and Shajahan Basha for Rajampeta PC also filed their nominations today.
The Jana Sena Party candidates filed nomination today include Mukram Syed (Rajampeta PC) and M Prabhakar Reddy (Tamballapalle AC). A lone Muslim League candidate Sabeera Shaik also filed nomination for Madanapalle Assembly seat.
As the Election Commission already announced that there will be no receiving of nomination on 23rd and 24th due to holidays, there was more nominations filed today as only one day i.e. Monday left for filing nominations.
