CID intensifies the probe on insider trading in Amaravati, writes to ED to intervene

The CID has intensified its probe into the irregularities in the Amaravati lands and insider trading charges. Based on the report of the Cabinet Sub-Committee, the CID started an investigation in the last month. The Cabinet Subcommittee has already prepared a report on irregularities in the purchase of 4000 acres of land in Amaravati. The CID is investigating the politicians who bought the land-based on this report.

CID officials have identified 720 acres of land in Amaravati Core Area was bought by white cardholders. Officials have also issued notices to 790 white ration card holders in total. CID chief Sunil Kumar wrote to the ED to inquire into the purchase of Amaravati lands and Land documents, along with the details of the white card holders list.

The Enforcement Directorate will reportedly come into action in two days.
