City student wins medals in aquatics

Vijayawada: K Bhurishrava of Class V won several medals in the 5th AP Sub-Junior and Junior Inter–district Aquatic Championship 2019, according to DPS principal G Mala on Thursday. She said that Bhurishrava secured the following prizes in various events held on May 26 and 27 at Aqua sports complex, Visakhapatnam.

He secured medals in 200 metres individual, 350 metres breast stroke, 3 and 50 metres free style 2. She said that he also secured medal in the Vijayawada's first Aquathlon by ironminds.in, held in Vijayawada on 10 June 2019 at Sir Vizzy's Municipal Corporation Swimming Pool, and secured the first place in wave-5 boys relay and 2nd place in wave 5-boys individual event.

Pro-vice-chairman P Narendra Babu, directors K Praveen and P Pavan Chand and the principalcongratulated the student and wished him success in his future endeavours.
