Civic chief resolves Spandana petition

Vijayawada: As part of Spandana programme, the Vijayawada Municipal Corporation Commissioner Prasanna Venkatesh conducted a field level visit to Pesapati street in Suryaraopet on the complaints received from residents over the construction of ramps on drains which are causing inconvenience to the children and senior citizens.

It is noted that the issue was not solved even after the ramp was removed as the compound wall issue of the compliant was pending in the court. The same was explained to the petitioner and assured that the damaged compound will be repaired.

The commissioner ordered the sanitary staff to divert the rain water into side canals at Vishnuvardhan Rao road or drain the water through machines. He further told the officials to clear the garbage piled up at Narasimhanaidu street with immediate effect.

The commissioner visited MG road, Benz Circle, Krishna Lanka and other places and told the officials to clear the rain water stagnated on the roads causing incontinence to the people.

City planer B Lakshman Rao, EE Srinivas Rao, assistant city planer Jagadish, Balaji, health officer Dr Madhusudhan Prasad and others were present.
