Clean Guntur possible only with cooperation of people: MP Alla Ayodhya Rami Reddy
Guntur : Rajya Sabha member Alla Ayodhya Rami Reddy felt that clean Guntur city is possible only with the cooperation of the people. He along with the district collector I Samuel Anand Kumar, Guntur east MLA Mustafa, visited Vasavi Cloth Market vacant site near BR Stadium, Rajaka Seva Sangham, Red Tank, Maya Bazaar areas and inspected sanitation.
Speaking on the occasion, he said that in order to achieve clean Guntur, they need cooperation of the people. He said, he visited some places in Guntur city to know implementation of the plan to achieve clean Guntur city. He urged the people to segregate the dry and wet waste and give it to the door-to-door garbage collection workers. He felt that there is need to keep commercial areas also clean in the city. He said there is need to keep the hotels and kitchens in the hotels clean.
District collector and GMC special officer I Samuel Anand Kumar inspected the kitchen in a hotel and warned that if they did not keep the kitchen clean, he will act against the hotel management. He directed the officials to keep the government vacant lands clean in Guntur city.
MLA Mustafa directed the officials to keep clean the shop surroundings and not to dump the garbage in the side drains. He directed the GMC officials to remove the scrap stock at Autonagar immediately. GMC additional commissioner Niranjan Reddy, deputy commissioners B Srinivasa Rao, D Srinivasa Rao were among those participated.
