Vijayawada: Senior BJP leader and former TTD board member G Bhanuprakash Reddy on Friday suggested to the Ministers not to drag Gods when they try to settle scores with their political rivals.

Speaking to media persons here on Friday, he came down heavily on Minister Kodali Venkateswara Rao for using derogatory language while referring to the customs being practiced by the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams.

He said the Minister's comments hurt the sentiments of Hindus and asked him to tender an apology. He pointed out that the non-Hindus should submit their declaration while visiting the Tirumala Venkateswara Swami temple. He recalled that former President APJ Abdul Kalam also submitted his declaration when he visited the temple.

He alleged that Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy was behaving like a dictator in the State. He wondered as to how the State government could take the TTD funds while spending public funds for Jerusalem tours.

He asked the government as to why the same generosity was not provided to the Hindus to visit temples. He said that they would oppose the government's plan to sell the temple lands for implementing the Navaratnalu scheme.
