Chittoor: CM committed to ensure drinking water to each house in Seema

Chittoor: Deputy Chief Minister K Narayana Swamy on Wednesday stated that fulfillment of dreams of the Father of Nation Mahatma Gandhi was the ultimate of goal of Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy.

Participating as chief guest in a programme held at Karvetinagar to mark Mahatma Gandhi's 150th Birth Anniversary, he paid rich floral tributes to him and recalled the great achievements of Bapuji.

He reiterated that the Chief Minister was committed to ensure drinking water facility to each house in Rayalaseema region.

He said the government would complete construction of all ongoing irrigation projects like HNSS, Galeru Nagari and Telugu Ganga on top priority. He made it clear there would be no funds crunch to complete the projects. Referring the mass recruitment of ward secretaries in the state, he described that it would be a golden period in the state. The village and ward secretaries should ensure services to people with great commitment and transparency, he said and added there would no place for corruption in YSRCP government. The officials should receive public with smile and resolve their grievances on the spot, he said.

He said total prohibition would be enforced in a phased manner with active cooperation of public particularly from the women folk. He handed over the appointment letters to newly recruited ward secretaries. Earlier, he inaugurated the Village Secretariat Office at Karvetinagar. Chittoor RDO C Renuka, Mandal Level Officers and YSRCP leaders were present .
