CM Jagan to lay stone for footwear manufacturing unit on December 24
Kadapa: Here is good news for people of Pulivendula town as about 3,000 local unemployed youth are going to secure jobs with the establishment of footwear manufacturing unit soon. According to the official sources, Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy is likely to lay foundation stone for the proposed leather industry worth Rs 70 crores on December 24 during his visit to Kadapa district schedule to be held on the occassion of Christmas celebrations.
The district administration has allocated 27.94 acres of land for the unit in Industrial Development Park in the town. This is the second leather unit set up by Apachi company in the state and the first unit was established in Sulurpet of Nellore district during the regime of former Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhar Reddy in 2006.
