CM kept his promise given to AgriGold victims: Kannababu

Kakinada: Agriculture Minister Kurasala Kannababu on Saturday stated that the remaining amounts of AgriGold victims will be released in a phased manner.

Speaking to media here, he said the State government has released Rs 265 crore out of Rs 1,150 crore in first phase and the amount will be given to victims who deposited below Rs 10,000 only and the amounts will be directly credited to bank accounts of victims.

He said Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy has fulfilled his promise by releasing funds to AgriGold victims and recalled that the YSRC had staged several stirs to do justice to the victims during the TDP tenure. But the former Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu ignored the victims and made false promises to them, he stated.

MLA Dwarampudi Chandrasekhara Reddy said that there were 5,000 AgriGold victims in Kakinada and those who depositors Rs 10,000 can get the benefit with the release of funds.
