CM releases results of written exams

Amaravati: Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy released the Village and Ward Secretariats exams results at his camp Office at Tadepalli in Guntur district on Thursday.

The list released consists of successful candidates numbering 1,26,728 who will be employed in 19 government departments to take up the task of door delivery of government services as part of decentralised governance.

The decentralisation of administration by setting up Village Secretariats will be functional from October 2. The Chief Minister congratulated the officials on successful completion of recruitment of staff for Village and Ward Secretariats.

"I congratulate everyone who are selected for Village and Ward Secretariat jobs. We will provide training to the selected people and they would serve the people with dedication. Congratulations to the officials who conducted these exams impartially without any complaints."

He further said that revolutionary changes in governance would come through Village Secretariats. Government schemes would be delivered at the doorsteps of people irrespective of their caste, creed and political affiliations.

With 11 to 12 permanent government employees in each Secretariat, the government has created a total of 1,26,728 (95,088 rural, 36,410 urban) jobs and issued a common notification on July 26, 2019. The government has set up 11,158 Village Secretariats and 3,786 Ward Secretariats across the State.

A total of 21.69 lakh candidates applied for various jobs in 19 departments and 19.50 lakh candidates have appeared for the examinations.
