CM to take part in Independence-Day fete in Vizag

Visakhapatnam: The district is gearing up for Independence Day celebrations scheduled on August 15. District Collector V Vinay Chand directed the officials to make all the necessary arrangements for the festival on Thursday which will be held across the State in a grand manner.

He along with GVMC Commissioner G Srijana, Joint Collector L Siva Sankar and other officials visited Andhra University Engineering Grounds to supervise the arrangements, where Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy, secretaries and other prominent officials will be participating in the celebrations.

Vinay Chand said that arrangements should be in tune with the arrival of Chief Minister and other State-level officials for the event. Facilities such as parking lot, transportation, toilets, gallery, among others should be in place, he stated.
