CM YS Jagan enquires about Parawada gas leak

Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has reportedly inquired about the gas leakage incident at Sailor Life Sciences Pharma Company in Parawada of Vishakhapatnam. The CMO asked the officials and learned the details. Officials said two people died while four others were being treated at the hospital. It is noted that one of the victims is said to be in critical condition and is being treated on a ventilator and three others were said to be responding to treatment.

He said the accident was caused by leakage at the reactor. The accident occurred at 11:30 pm on Monday night, and the district collector and CPP reached the factory area immediately and held rescue operations.

Officials reported that the factory had been shut down carefully beforehand and that there was no need to worry that the accident was confined to a factory with a reactor. The Collector Vinaya Chand and Visakha City Police Commissioner RK Meena have met injured and assured of the government's help. The collector said that they are also investigating the incident. Chief Minister YS Jagan has directed officials to provide better treatment to those who are being treated in hospital.
