CM YS Jagan gives top priority to medical, health departments: Minister Taneti Vanita
Eluru: Minister for women and child welfare Taneti Vanita on Wednesday inaugurated the 108 and 104 ambulance vehicles at the Indoor stadium in Eluru. Speaking on the occasion, Vanita said Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy has allocated funds to renovate and purchase ambulances in order to provide emergency medical care to the people of Andhra Pradesh.
She said the 108 vehicles with life support equipment and facilities will reach the destination in 15 minutes in rural areas, 20 minutes in urban areas and 25 minutes in areas after receiving the call to 108.
She said Jagan Mohan Reddy is fulfilling the prepoll promises and giving top priority to medical and health departments. She said Mobile Medical Units (104 services) allotted to 676 mandals in the state will be very useful to the rural people as these vehicles will visit one village secretariat every day. District collector Revu Mutyala Raju, MLAs and the officials of revenue, medical and health and other departments attended the event.
