CM YS Jagan launches YSR Vahana Mitra program, disburses Rs.10,000 to beneficiaries

Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy inaugurated the second phase of the YSR Vahana Mitra scheme on Thursday. As much as Rs 262.49 crore has been deposited directly into beneficiaries accounts from the Tadepalli camp office through online by just pressing a computer button. A total of 2,62,493 beneficiaries of auto and taxi owners will benefit with Rs. 10,000. CM Jagan spoke on the occasion of a video conference on auto and taxi workers.

The Department of Transportation selected an additional 37,756 beneficiaries over previous year. According to the government's plan, YSR Vahana Mitra beneficiaries will have to be paid the amount in October. However, in the wake of the Corona crisis, the financial aid is released four months in advance to meet the people's needs. The scheme was launched for the second consecutive year across eight corporations, which has been applied to new beneficiaries as well. From September 23 last year to May 16 this year, those who have acquired vehicle ownership and transfer rights have been identified as beneficiaries.

In a video conference hosted by Chief Minister YS Jagan as part of the program, state ministers from Prakasam district, Srinivas Reddy, Adimulapu Suresh, MLA Karan Balaram, MLA TJR Sudhakar Babu, Giddaluru district and officials of Giddaluru district. Deputy Chief Minister Narayana Swamy from Chittoor, Panchayati Raj Minister Peddi Reddy Ramachandra Reddy, MP Reddappa, Collector Bharat Gupta, APIIC Chairman RK Roja, MLAs Srinivas, Nawaz Basha and MS Babu were present.
