Rajamahendravaram: Andanapalli Satyanarayana, leader of the Nayee Brahman Sangham and YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) said that the Sangham was not associated with any political party and the Sangham members may affiliate to any party as per their wish.

Speaking to the media at the Press Club here on Thursday, he said some members of the Sangam are making allegations against the YSRCP that the State government failed to do anything for the members of the Nayee Brahmin community.

In fact, it was only Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy who sanctioned an amount of Rs 10,000 to each member of the Nayee Brahmin community to continue their profession in the State, he said.

It is not correct on the part of some Sangham members to tarnish the image of the government, he added.

Sangham leaders RV Prasad Rao, P Nagababu, M Shiva, N Prasad, A Sitaram and others were present on the occasion.
