CM YS Jagan orders SIT probe on land irregularities in Amaravati capital region
Amaravati: AP Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has taken another sensational decision by ordering SIT (Special Investigation Team) investigation in the land allotments in Amaravati capital region during the previous TDP government regime. Over this, the State Principal Secretary Praveen Prakash has issued a GO initiating SIT probe on Friday night.
According to the GO, The Cabinet Sub-committee was constituted to review major policies, projects, programmes, institutions established (Corporations, Societies, Companies, etc.) and key administrative actions since AP on June 02, 2014, impacting the state development.
The Sub-committee presented the first part of the report to the government, which highlighted the various procedure, legal and financial irregularities and fraudulent transactions concerned to various projects including the issues related to land in the CRDA region.
After thorough discussion and subsequent acceptance, the government decided to get the issue inquired by a specialized agency. During the debate held in the last AP Assembly session. The Speaker of the Legislative Assembly directed the government to initiate a systematic and comprehensive investigation into the matter.
After careful examination of the issue, the government has decided to constitute a Special Investigation Team (SIT). Intelligence IG Kolli Raghuram Reddy will head the SIT with Babujee Attada SP Visakhapatnam, Venkata Appala Naidu, SP Intelligence, Srinivas Reddy Addi SP Kadapa, Jayarama Raju DSP Intelligence, Vijaya Bhaskar DSP Vigilance and Enforcement, M Giridhar DSP Intelligence, Kennedy Inspector Eluru Range, Srinivasan Inspector Nellore District, SV Rajashekar Reddy Inspector Guntur District as team members.
