CM YS Jagan to launch Vasati Deevena in Vizianagaram on Feb 24
Vizianagaram: The district administration is making elaborate arrangements for the arrival of Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy to the district on February 24. Actually, the Chief Minister has to visit the district on February 11 to open Disha police station. But due to some reasons it was scheduled at Rajamahendravaram. Now, Jagan is going to inaugurate Vasati Deevena scheme from Vizianagaram on February 24.
The scheme will benefit the students who are studying degree, ITI, polytechnic, engineering courses by staying in hostels. Under the scheme, the students will get Rs 20,000 towards their hostel expenditure. As part of the scheme, the students will get Rs 10,000 in first phase in February and in second phase, they will get Rs 10,000 in July. ITI students will be paid Rs 10,000 per year and in first phase, they will get Rs 5,000 and in second phase they will get Rs 5,000. The diploma students will be paid Rs 15,000 in two installments. Over 58,091 students from 153 colleges in the district will be benefited under the scheme. Collector M Harijawaharlal, SP B Rajakumari and others have visited police training college, where the helicopter of the CM would be landed and observed the surroundings. Later they visited Disha police station at police parade ground and instructed the workers to complete it as soon as possible.
