Code violations to be treated seriously

Rajamahendravaram: Rajamahendravaram parliamentary constituency general observer Sreya P Singh has said that everyone should follow the guidelines issued by Election Commission (EC) and violations will be viewed seriously.Addressing the representatives of various political parties, she said stern action will be taken against the respective political parties, if they involve children in their rallies and election campaign.

Prior permission should be obtained to use vehicles for their election campaign and they will be seized if the respective party fails to produce necessary permissions. EC is very much particular to conduct the elections peacefully and necessary steps are taken in this regard. Arrangements were made to exercise franchise without any fear, she added.

Returning officer Nishant Kumar said the polling agents should present at the polling stations at 6 am as per EC guidelines. The voter can exercise their franchise by showing any one of 11 identities.Urban SP Dr Shemushi Bajpayee appealed to the political parties to follow the guidelines of Election Commission.
