Collect market cess through E-NAM system

Guntur: Agriculture Marketing Commissioner P Pradyumna directed the officials to collect market cess in the agriculture market yards though the Electronic -National Agriculture Market (E-NAM) system. Conducting a meeting with joint directors of agriculture at the department's meeting hall in the city on Thursday, he directed the officials to take steps to conduct trading through the E-NAM platforms.

He said it is responsibility of the engineering officials to take steps to complete the engineering works taken up in agriculture market yards and rythu bazaars within the stipulated time. He also instructed the officials not to compromise on quality in works. He directed the officials to solve all pending assessments relating to traders and give information relating to audit objections.

At present, the government is implementing E-NAM in 22-Agriculture Market Yards in the state. The meeting also decided to implement the E-NAM in another 12-agriculture market yards in the State.
