Collector Dr Pola Bhaskara approves budget of OMC for 2020-21 in Ongole

Ongole: The Prakasam District Collector Dr Pola Bhaskara has approved the budget estimates, announced the OMC commissioner P Niranjan Reddy in a statement.

The commissioner explained that the budget of 2019-20 is revised as Rs 13.02 crore opening balance and Rs 126.23 crore total receipts. In the receipts, he said revenue receipts are Rs 53.71 crore, capital receipts are Rs 16.25 crore while deposits, OAP, recoveries and payments are Rs 56.26 crore.

In the expenditure, the commissioner explained that revenue expenditure is Rs 36.31 crore, capital expenditure is Rs 32.90 crore, deposits, OAP, recoveries and payments are Rs 54.04 crore adding to a total of Rs 123.46 crore.

For the budget of 2020-21, he said that the year starts with a balance of Rs 15.79 crore. He said that they are estimating Rs 62.56 crore of revenue receipts, Rs 26 crore of capital receipts and Rs 64.20 crore of deposits, OAP, recoveries and payments to a total of Rs 152.76 crore. In the expenditure, he said that they are expecting Rs 46.51 crore of revenue, Rs 47.61 crore of capital expenditure while Rs 62.24 crore of deposits, OAP, recoveries and payments to add to a total of Rs 156.36 crore expenditure.

He said that the expected closing balance for 2020-21 is Rs 12.18 crore. He announced that the budget will be submitted to the government for formal approval and will implement it from April 1.
