Collector Gandham Chandrudu participates in Palle Nidra at Ashram School

Anantapur: District Collector Gandham Chandrudu participated in 'Palle Nidra' at Girijan Ashram School in Bukkarayasamudram mandal to personally know the problems of school children.

He spent the night on Friday at the hostel and interacted with the media on Saturday. He said that the'Mana Badi-Naadu Nedu' scheme is a prestigious one and is aimed at improving quality of education.

During the night, he slept on the floor along with children. The Collector had breakfast along with the school children. He instructed officials to improve conditions in the hostels and boost infrastructure facilities.

Speaking on the occasion, Gandham Chandrudu said that during interaction with children they told him that the hostel does not have lavatories and bathrooms. He stated that the authorities were asked to construct bathrooms and latrines within one week and attend to all complaints of the hostel children.
