Collector holds review meeting

Vijayawada: The Krishna District Collector A Mohammad Imtiaz ordered the AP State Intermediate Board officers and all the departments to complete the arrangements for conducting the intermediate supplementary examinations. The District Collector had conducted the review meeting with the Revenue, APSRTC, Heath, Education Departments officials regarding the Intermediate Supplementary examination at his camp office here on Tuesday.

He said that the intermediate supplementary examinations were going to start from May 14 to 22 in 93 examination centres across the district. He said that 52,558 students from both the first and second-year students were going to appear for the supplementary exams across the district. The District Collector ordered the concerned officers to take adequate precaution measures to protect the candidates from sun strokes by supplying the cool drinking water to them.

He said that they were appointing a Tahsildar cadre officers as flying squads to avoid the mass copying by the students. Section 144 section would be in force nearby the exam centres, he added. He ordered the concerned officers to complete the arrangements for the supplementary examination by May 13. Joint Collector Babu Rao, DRO A Prasad Rao, RDO Uday Bhaskar and other officers were present.
