Collector M V Seshagiri Babu asks Pollution Control Board officials to Set up Covid wards, clinics in industrial areas

Nellore: District Collector M V Seshagiri Babu directed the Pollution Control Board authorities to arrange laboratories with TrueNat machines, COVID-19 wards, and fever clinics in all industrial areas in Krishnapatnam, Mambattu, Menakuru, and other places by July 1.

Addressing the officials of industries, labour, and Pollution Control Board on Saturday at the camp office, he said the officials have to ensure arrangements for containing the spread of coronavirus in the industrial areas.

The Collector also said that these industrial zones were having a huge number of workers and there should be specific measures for controlling the spread of virus and the officials should take steps coordinating with the management of industries.

He asked them to conduct tests for every 10 days for preventing further spread of infection. He also said the officials have to aware the management of industries for arranging labs, COVID wards, and fever clinics by July 1.

Joint Collector Dr Prabhakar Reddy said that the managements have to take minimum measures of wearing a facemask, social distancing, and frequent handwashing for preventing the virus on the premises.

He said all workers and employees of industries have to download Aarogya Setu App as per the guidelines of the government.

DRO G Mallikarjuna, Deputy Commissioner of labour department Omkar, EE of Pollution Control Board Pramod Kumar Reddy, Inspector of factories Sivasankar Reddy and others were present.
