Complete YSR's bronze statue for installation by September

Visakhapatnam: Visakhapatnam Metropolitan Region Development Authority (VMRDA) in-charge Commissioner G Srijana has directed the authorities concerned to ensure the completion of proposed YSR's bronze statue for installation at the city Central Park by September, marking the death anniversary of the former Chief Minister of the State.

Taking stock of the progress of various projects in the city at a meeting held here on Thursday, Srijana said that the stone was laid for installation of statue on the occasion of the birth anniversary of YSR and it should be completed and ready for unveiling by September 2.

This apart, Srijana reviewed the progress of the flyover at NAD Junction and instructed the engineers to accelerate the work. Further, she directed the staff to speed up the master plan works as well. Development works at Kailasagiri and other areas also came up for discussion at the meeting.
